The 2026 election is approaching quickly, and we are dedicated to ensuring that the ballot features strong, courageous, and compassionate women.
This training will concentrate on Board of Directors for Natural Resource District, Public Power, Utilities, allowing us to explore the responsibilities and functions of each role in greater detail. Additionally, this session will feature panelists from our Women Who Run alumni network. These alumni are the perfect individuals to provide valuable insights into running for and serving in a particular office. These sessions will be low-pressure and informational, so if you even have the slightest interest in running for office, please join us.

Join us for a special field trip to the Brownville Village Theatre to see the play "For the Protection of Girls." This show tells the stories of three women in American history whose contributions have been largely forgotten. In light of our current political climate, we aim to share a narrative that empowers women, both past and present, and inspires hope for the future. The first 10 registrations will receive a FREE ticket; after that, tickets will be $15.

Have you ever thought about running for office? You absolutely should! Join us for "Running for Office 101," where we’ll discuss important considerations for anyone thinking about running in 2026 or later. Even if you aren't yet considering a run, we will also provide resources on how to identify and recruit outstanding candidates.

For this event, we will be partnering with Youth Mart, a donation center for young adults 25 and under who have aged out of foster care, have foster care experience, or may be otherwise unconnected. Program Director Morgan Rye-Craft will provide a tour (beginning at 4:30pm) and an overview of the services Youth Mart provides.

Hair Care drive: If possible, bring a bottle of shampoo and conditioner you would use - bonus points for natural hair care products!
Accessibility note: the building isn’t accessible for people with limited mobility/mobility aids; restrooms are located in another building.
This week will be at the normal location—meet at our office. We are hoping to host a discussion to help people understand the budget reconciliation process. More details to come!
For this event, we will be partnering with Access Period, a local organization that helps you combat period poverty by providing free menstrual products to anyone who needs them in Nebraska. They have a bunch of pallets of pads that need to be unboxed and broken down. It will be pretty physical, but fun!
